It has been four years since we last spoke with actor/producer/entrepreneur Mason Reese. Many recall his prominent commercial roles as a child star and being on The Mike Douglas show.

After living in New York for most of his life, Mason is now living in Delray Beach, Florida. He shared why he moved to the Sunshine State:

“I needed something slower. I needed something a little more tropical. I also wanted to get away from the stresses of New York City that everything was, you know, for me personally, my personal stress.”

While living in New York City, the actor was in the restaurant business. He says there are plans to open a venue in Delay Beach, Florida:

“We’re in the building, development stages, but a very good friend of mine down here, we’re actually looking to open up a lounge down here in Delray, but from the heart of Delray. So, I’ve technically been in retirement since 2016. However, I may come out of retirement to open up something down here.”

Mr. Reese recently made national headlines for his breakup from now former girlfriend Sara Russi. In a CYInterview world exclusive, Mason tells us his side of the story for the first time of why the couple broke up:

“Honestly guys, we were not happy for a very long period of time. And Sarah should never have moved down to Florida. She should have stayed in Pittsburgh where she was living at the time. … Once she mentioned about coming down here, I should have absolutely shot down the idea. You know, Florida in many ways was a new start for me and that’s the way it should have been. We should have ended our relationship at that point. But she did come down here and it was quite obvious from the very first minute that she did, that it really wasn’t happy, that we were not comfortable anymore, we didn’t have much to talk about, we’d grown in very opposite directions.”
