!953 the Korean conflict had ended, but a peace traty was not signed. Only an armistice was signed. US Troops still had to deal with sabotage, assassins, espionage and ambushes by teh North. Even with the start and finsh of the Vietnam War, US Troops still kept their presence on the DMZ of South Korea.
