Description
Quarterback E. J. Caminong, a redshirt freshman for the California Golden Bears, has entered the transfer portal after limited playing time. Despite being a highly-rated recruit, he was behind Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele and Devin Brown on the depth chart. Caminongs only start came in the L. A. Bowl against U. N. L. V., where he completed six of nineteen passes for fifty-seven yards. With Sagapolutele returning and Devin Browns status unknown, Caminongs chances of moving up the depth chart seem slim. New coach Tosh Lupoi is expected to add another quarterback, and the Golden Bears will finish their season next Wednesday against Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl.
