Can clean water become a privilege? Hydratico’s mission to change that
Description
According to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals Report, 783 million people worldwide lack access to clean water. As access to clean water becomes increasingly taken for granted, it has turned into a privilege. Regions like Ukraine face heightened risks, especially following recent attacks such as the Kakhovka dam destruction, which threaten water security. The European Union is also dealing with water scarcity, with countries like Poland facing challenges akin to those in Egypt.
In this episode, we unveil the story of Hydratico—a startup addressing these critical issues by providing fast, modular, CO2-neutral water treatment stations that produce 1 to 100 m³/hr of drinking water from various sources, including seawater and contaminated water.
Co-Founders Kateryna Ryabiko and Pavel Panasyuk share their startup journey and discuss how technology can safeguard this essential resource for both people and the planet.
Host: Oksana Krykun, Head of Entrepreneurship and Acceleration at INNOV8, a partner in launching the Seeds of Bravery project.
