Description

Today, let's look at our plates from the Ayurvedic lens to understand how we can eat as per our constitution, season and time of day. Which are the foods and herbs prescribed for daily consumption and which are not? This list will surprise many.

The ancient Indian system of medicine, Ayurveda, views our plates and the food on it very differently from the western viewpoint on nutrition. Ayurveda prescribes a very specific set of rules and they are all as relevant today as they were 5000 years ago, when the Ayurvedic texts were first written. Listen in.

Nidhi Pandya is a third generation Ayurvedic practitioner based out of New York. Her practice is steeped in the learnings of ancient Ayurvedic texts and eastern medicine philosophy, focusing on disease prevention protocols via food and lifestyle.
