Els segrestadors porten la Maria Àngels d'Olot a Sant Pere de Torelló. La van passant d'un maleter de cotxe a un altre i fan voltes per la muntanya per despistar-la. Truquen als familiars per dir que està segrestada i que no avisin la policia, però ja és massa tard. El marit de la farmacèutica ja ha anat a denunciar-ho a la policia local.
