Cards on the Table: Louisville Recap + UVA Midseason Review with ESPN's David Hale
Description
With another overtime win in the books UVA hits the bye week, while Preston is joined by ESPN's David Hale to recap Virginia's win at Louisville and review the season so far at the halfway point.
First, as is custom on the show, David recaps his trip to see an ACC clash (?) between Clemson and UNC and the dire season taking shape in Chapel Hill. Then Preston and David turn their attention to Virginia's win on the road in Louisville with their One BIG Takes and what they learned about the Cavaliers after their 3-0 start to ACC play. Later linebacker Kam Robinson is the Hoos On Player of the Game and David talks about his impact in the middle of the UVA defense.
Then Preston and David take stock of the season at the halfway point after Virginia's best start since 2017. David shares why he believes the Cavaliers are a different looking team from adapting to the college landscape, the transfer portal and internal growth on offense. Finally, David and Preston ponder if now is the time for UVA fans to start thinking about the ACC Championship game and even the College Football Playoff.
