Carley Fortune is an author and award-winning journalist, who has served as an editor at some of Canada’s top publications. She was most recently the Executive Editor of Refinery29 Canada, the leading next-gen media and entertainment platform focused on women and underrepresented voices pushing the status quo, in their lives and in the world.


Carley's first novel, Every Summer After, is your next beach read. The book is a nostalgic story of childhood crushes, first loves, and the people and choices that mark us forever. It will be released on May 10, 2022.


In today’s episode, Carley and I talk about how she began her career in journalism, what makes a writer stand out, and the behind the scenes of writing her novel, Every Summer After.
