Dear Casefile, It is a Polygraph, not a "Lie Detector". It is proven unreliable. A psychopath can easily beat a Polygraph.

I'm disappointed with the editorialising in this episode. Bite mark analysis has been debunked as a pseudoscience, yet the episode doesn't mention it -- in spite of that being the only hard evidence! If you relisten to this episode with that in mind, the suspect was rightfully found "not (proven) guilty". This is a terrible case. I absolutely get wanting to have someone to direct all the rage, disgust and sadness at. But you can't convict someone because it gives you peace of mind if the evidence isn't there. Yet Casefile has.
