Texas A&Ms Cashius Howell, a redshirt senior defensive end, has been named a finalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award, recognizing the top college defensive player. Howell has had an exceptional season, leading the nation with eleven and a half sacks and six pass breakups. Hes also generated thirty-eight quarterback pressures and earned SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week award four times. His outstanding performance has contributed to the Aggies top-ranked defense, which includes the best third-down defense and second-most sacks in the FBS. Howell is only the third Aggie to receive this prestigious nomination.
