Cathie Marshall is a homeschool mom who homeschooled all four of her children.  She talks about homeschooling being a calling, homeschool routines, teaching time management, finding curriculum via conventions, used book sales, or through her support group, finding a support group, homeschooling in line with God’s priorities, the “ah ha” moments of homeschooling, socializing with entire families, having a love-hate relationship with accountability, SCAIHS counselors keeping her going and helping with record keeping, receiving good advice and comfort from her SCAIHS counselor, using the Special Needs department, being a one-income family, be with your kids while you have the chance, reading aloud to her students, and reading for herself, being afraid of messing up her kids, and hearing Zan Tyler speak about the history of homeschooling in South Carolina.
