Gaslighting is a sophisticated & extremely nefarious manipulation tactic - it's Psychological Warfare🔥 Certain types of people will use it *to create doubt in the minds of others.* It's incredibly important to be aware of this deceptive tactic so you spot it for yourself. Effective gaslighting can be accomplished in several different ways: Sometimes, a person can assert something with such an apparent intensity of conviction that *the other person begins to doubt their own perspective.* Other times, *vigorous & unwavering denial coupled with a display of righteous indignation* can accomplish the same task. Bringing up *historical facts that seem largely accurate but contain minute, hard-to-prove distortions & using them to “prove” the correctness of one’s position is another method.* Gaslighting is particularly effective when coupled with other tactics such as shaming & guilting. Anything that aids in *getting another person to doubt their judgment & back down* will work. Sadly Psychological Warfare has permeated so many of the things in our society that are presented to us under the guise of 'Fun!' & 'Entertainment!' yet which are nothing more than weaponized tools used to Modify Our Behavior. They have been studying ways to manipulate us since at least World War II - read the online document called "The Political Warfare Executive," a private memo to the Queen detailing their progress in the manipulation of the masses. Not to mention their excitement at the advancement of technology, availing to them more tools for their deceptive tactics. Never ever ever trust anyone Who Gaslights You. EVER.
