Joan Rivers, everyone. What a character. She's complicated. But this book is about the first seven years of her career, and it's fascinating. This is Joan in her own voice, describing how she spent her 20s, in the 1950s, as a single woman trying to make it as a stand up. We certainly understand people who don't like her jokes, and still, it's amazing to hear the story of how she got her first break. This is a one and done, but we'll be back next week with her next book, Still Talking!
