You’d struggle to find two performances worse than Celtic’s over the two legs against Kairat Almaty. And in the end, we got exactly what we deserved, with the Kazakhs advancing in the Champions League Play-Off Round.

The post-mortem starts here, and the big question is - how did it all come to this?

Is it the result of a puzzling transfer strategy? A tactical misstep by the manager? Or are some players simply not giving their all?

At this point, we don’t have all the answers. What we do know however is that the fanbase is beyond frustrated and are demanding explanations for this latest disappointment.

It’s not entitlement to expect your club to perform at its best with the resources it has. Right now, though, Celtic can make no such claim, having fallen short in this crucial test.
