Centrus Energy secures a $900 million task order from the U.S. Department of Energy to enhance uranium enrichment at its Piketon, Ohio plant, marking a significant federal investment in rebuilding Americas domestic nuclear fuel supply. The funding supports a multi-billion dollar expansion for commercial-scale production of high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU), which powers next-generation reactors.
