Speaking of ethos, this episode was inspired by a recent Instagram post on the Ethos Decorum page which stated, "Would have loved to see more independent and minority designers highlighted on the BET Red Carpet and Awards Show."
This isn't new. Being a hip, early adopter of a brand looks great on paper but in practice is often a lonely road. That is unless you're someone with enough influence where tagging a relatively unknown brand can have them sell out overnight. But what's the reason why stylists don't "break" independently- and minority-owned brands? Talking with me this episode is Tactus Jack, the mind behind the design-focused agency and media brand Ethos Decorum.
