Tyson Yunkaporta belongs to the Apalech Clan from Western Cape York and is a senior lecturer in Indigenous Knowledges at Deakin University. He is a poet and artist who practices traditional wood carving, and has published one book, Sand Talk: How Indigenous Thinking Can Save the World. In this episode Tyson yarns with Olivia about the difficulties of writing Sand Talk, layers of knowledge and ghosts.
