Episode 44 of the conversations between Dr. Yogita Pant and Dr. Anil Chawla discusses the events after Arjun came to Indraprasth with his new wife – Subhadra, Krishn’s sister. While others welcomed Arjun, Draupadee was angry. She said many harsh words to Arjun, scolded him and told him to go away. Arjun had a hard time consoling Draupadee. He had to apologise many times to her. But when Subhadra met Draupadee, Subhadra managed to win Draupadee over by her respectful attitude. Draupadee blessed Subhadra as a younger sister. Soon, Krishn, Balram and others from Dwarka came to Indraprasth with gifts for the whole family. They were received with warmth, affection and respect. A few days later, all of them, except Krishn, departed. Krishn stayed there to spend time with his friend, Arjun. Soon Arjun and Subhadra were blessed with a son who was named Abhimanyu. Draupadee also gave birth to five sons from her five husbands. (Mahabharat/Aadiparv/Haranaaharan Parv/Chapter 220).

Mahabharat and Valmiki Ramayan are the two fundamental foundation epics of Hinduism. Mahabharat teaches one about every aspect of life. The struggle in the epic is the clash between two different life-values. Dwaipaayan Krishn and Vaasudev Krishn put in relentless and continuous efforts to establish and strengthen the same fundamental values and ideals for which Ram fought the war against Raavan. By learning and understanding this story and by adopting the learnings into our behaviour we can make our life happy and rich.
