About the Show

"Chess" is a musical that tells the story of a romantic triangle and political intrigue surrounding a World Chess Championship during the Cold War. It features two chess grandmasters, one American and one Russian, who are also rivals for the love of a Hungarian refugee woman. The musical explores themes of love, competition, and the manipulation of international politics. 

80s, in which superpowers attempt to manipulate an international chess championship for political ends.
