Christian group in Nigeria says 50 students abducted by gunmen have escaped

At least 50 of the more than 300 students abducted from St Mary’s Catholic School in Nigeria’s Niger State have now escaped and been reunited with their families. The Christian Association of Nigeria says, more than 250 students and a dozen teachers are still in captivity as authorities launch a major rescue operation. Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi reports.
