Description

Today Nina and BA host special guest Nicholas Thornburg, who started his theatrical career right here at the Little Theatre of Norfolk, and has since taken his career path into the professional performing arts. Together they discuss the twists and turns that come with moving between professional and volunteer gigs, skills needed to survive as a professional (which are also useful to volunteers), and throw in a good deal of reminiscing about those fun experiences that happen while working in the performing arts that make you realize that you wouldn’t be able to work in any other career. You can find him on Facebook and Instagram @nicholasthornburg, and Twitter @nic_thornburg.

Our community feature this week is Jim Bulleit, who shares his most requested song “Catastropic Thinking”. You can find him on Facebook @jimbulleitmusic, and also sometimes find him at Zeiders American Dream Theater- he worked with them on some of their virtual offerings at the beginning of the pandemic. The cartoon which was the inspiration for this week’s offering can be found here.

You can leave us a voicemail at 757-632-3281 to tell us more about your experiences with the gig economy (or anything else for that matter, as long as it’s under 3 minutes). Follow the theater on Facebook @LittleTheatreNorfolk and Instagram @Little_Theatre_Norfolk for updates on all of our digital offerings!
