* We open ourselves up to a discussion about the very best performances from Sylvester Stallone and how his career has evolved. This also leads to conversations and comparisons to other muscle stars like Arnold Schwarzenneger (“Terminator 2: Judgment Day“).
* We get into the year 1976, arguably one of the strongest years for an Academy Best Picture lineup that included the Best Picture winner “Rocky,” Sidney Lumet’s “Network,” Martin Scorsese’s “Taxi Driver,” Alan J. Pakula’s “All the President’s Men,” and Hal Ashby’s “Bound for Glory.”
* We’re announcing the opening of our Op-Ed section tentatively titled “Opinions of the People” – where you can submit your thoughts and opinions and get published on the site. We start you off with three themes to present: “The Movies of 1990 and What It Means to Me” – “What Is Your Favorite TV Episode of the Past Year” – “The 10 Movies That Mean Most To You.”
* We’re closing with discussions of the eligible films for the Academy Awards due to the extension of the calendar year. The films “scheduled” to qualify for the Oscars include Marvel’s “Eternals“ and Warner Bros’ “Mortal Kombat</...
