By birth or naturalization, Christians are the citizens of many nations and are obligated to submit to the authorities that God has put in place. By adoption and new birth, however, we are citizens of God's kingdom. Alistair Begg encourages us to remember that our citizenship on earth is temporary and fleeting, but our citizenship in heaven is fixed on the reliable promises of God.
