U.S. Army Soldiers from 84th Engineer Battalion, based at Schofield Barracks, O'ahu, Hawaii, are currently on a 6-month deployment to the Republic of Palau. The Civic Action Team (CAT 84-04) mission is to provide construction capabilities, apprenticeship training, medical outreach, community relations, as well as disaster relief and humanitarian support to the Republic of Palau in order to further a positive U.S. presence.
