C4S Webinar Series #8: Mental Health 411 for Models, Performers, and Producers with Neil and Special Guest, Kristel Penn
Clips4Sale is pleased to present “Mental Health 411 for Models, Performers, and Producers, with Kristel Penn” from Monday, September 2nd at 3:00 pm EST. In this installment of Clips4Sale’s educational community resource webinars, Clips4Sale’s owner Neil and Penn discussed navigating the mental health care system — and will provide tips and strategies to help you do so effectively.
Navigating the mental health care system can be challenging. And for those working in adult entertainment, in addition to confusing technical jargon and general safety/privacy concerns, there’s also the additional challenge of finding a competent, affirming therapist who understands the unique concerns of the wider industry community. In this webinar, Penn will provide tools to help navigate the mental health care system.
Penn explained:
- Different types of mental health services, their qualifications, and their pros/cons
- Your rights as a care seeker
- Patient privacy
- How to find a sex worker-affirming care provider
- Interviewing and selecting a potential professional
- Navigating the system with and without health insurance
- …and more!
*Takeaway resources & documentation are archived in the Clips4Sale blog.

“I think navigating the mental health system can be a stressful experience for anyone, particularly for folks in the adult community. Depending on a variety of different factors, working in the industry can affect how a person accesses care and the type of care they need. And that’s separate from the issue of finding a competent and affirming professional to work with. This workshop is a primer and gives individuals in our community the tools they need to find mental health services that fit their specific personal and professional needs.” – Kristel Penn
