Description

Cognitive impairment is a significant cause of disability for many people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). To alleviate or slow the progression of cognitive impairment, pharmacological interventions (drugs, supplements, and alternative therapies) are studied – but do they work and which are most promising?

On this episode, Dr. Katherine Knox and Dr. Sarah Morrow share key findings from MSBEST's systematic review on pharmacological interventions tested for their effects on cognitive impairment in MS. They discuss which interventions may help, which don't work, and where more research is needed.

You can find the complete MSBEST systematic review of pharmacological interventions for cognition on our website: msbest.ca.

MSBEST develops comprehensive systematic reviews in multiple sclerosis rehabilitation to inform evidence-based care and improve the lives of people living with MS.
