From our community: “My point in that clip is this.... Colorism is NOT the pain Olympics!! STOP COMPARING pain. Light skinned AND dark skinned women BOTH hurt. We should be able to look at each other and say “I don’t know YOUR pain, but bc I KNOW PAIN, I know you hurt like I hurt!””

“A girl darker than my daughter told her she was white washed because she fits in better with white girls unlike her.”

“Yes but my psychologist said to stick with my white therapist until I found a good black one. She said going to McDonalds was better than starving. I’m so glad I have a black woman now.”
