Dru and Marianna discuss the end of the Book of Helaman and the teachings of Samuel the Lamanite. The Nephites and the Lamanites were in free trade with each other. Having a Lamanite come to the city was common and welcomed by the Nephites. Samuel was hated because of his message, not because he is a Lamanite. The Lamanites at this point are more righteous than the Nephites. Samuel, as a prophet was giving people warning. We are blessed with prophets today who are preparing us for the Savior’s coming, too. We should rejoice in the blessings of the restored gospel.
