The Lord invites us to believe that He is our True Father and that we may ask anything of Him as dear children. We pray to our gracious God, clinging to His promises of salvation. It is only by Him that we can receive or do anything good. In obedience to the Lord’s command, we come to Him in prayer with every need of ours and the needs of others. Thanks be to God that He not only hears our prayers but answers them!
Rev. Lewis Polzin, pastor of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Belgium, WI, joins Rev. Brady Finnern to begin a study of the Lord’s Prayer as found in the Large Catechism.
