It brings reproach on the cause of Christ (v. 12:14 )

It will cause you to live the life of a hypocrite (vv. 12:5-7)
It hinders your intimate relationship with God (Psalm 51:7-14)
It will take a way your desire to witness (Psalm 51:10-13)
It will lead to your destruction (vv. 12:10-11)
God will punish (v. 12:10-12; Ephesians 5:5-7)
A sexual sin leads to enslavement (Proverbs 5:22-23; James 5:16 )
