1. Are we easy to do business with?

2. Are employees overwhelmed with backlog?

3. Does our digitization stop at certain points?

4. How do we communicate internally?

5. What third-party applications do we have?

6. How do 3rd party applications connect?

7. Is our month end process complex?

8. Do we trust our status reports (inventory, orders, etc)?

9. Who in the organization is the owner of the process?

10. Who is evaluating the human processes?

11. Can we grow exponentially with the existing staff and systems?

12. How are we managing relations with vendors and tracking inbound stock?

How to get started:

• Identify what sales channels you go to market in – B2B, B2C eCommerce, specialty retailers, Big box, etc.

• Understand your order and fulfillment processes and where that system of record is kept.

• Identify inventory allocation needs and integration challenges that need to be accommodated.

• Learn where you are using manual tasks and redundant communications – look for email, fax, phone, paper, spreadsheets, etc.

• Find areas of disconnection in systems of record – CRM, WMS, 3PL, EDI eCommerce
