Conversation with Noel Mzungu Part 1
Description
In this 2 part-series episode, MwanaKIPAYA invites you to explore the inspirational journey of Noel's life, featured by his strong sense of determination and resilience from the humble beginnings in Dodoma and Morogoro, Tanzania to where he is today. Noel Mzungu is a Geologist and an Environmentalist originally from Tanzania, who joined the M.Sc. program in Risk Management at the University of Cote d'Azur (France) in 2019 after completing a B.Sc. in Geology in Algeria (2017). He successfully completed two internships in the context of M.Sc. program (9 months): both of these focused on earthquakes and ground shaking where his last internship involved also a significant portion of work on clay-rich soil shrinkage-swelling and its impacts on building structures using sophisticated models.
He is now a prospective PhD candidate at Generali insurance company based in Paris, France on the subject of Buildings' reaction toward the shrinkage-swelling of clays during drought risks in a stressed context of changing climate.
