Coordinated Online Attack Links Taylor Swift to Nazi Ideology
Update: 2025-12-11
Description
New findings reveal a coordinated online attack falsely linking Taylor Swift to Nazi ideology. Gudea, a behavioral intelligence platform, identified over twenty-four thousand such posts from more than eighteen thousand accounts across fourteen social media platforms. Despite making up only three point seven percent of all accounts discussing Swift, these accounts drove twenty-eight percent of the entire online conversation about her. The false claims fed into a conspiracy theory suggesting Swift was promoting conservative values, despite her public endorsement of Kamala Harris. The campaign began on platforms like 4chan before moving to more mainstream sites like X, formerly known as Twitter. Gudeas findings uncovered a significant overlap between accounts pushing the Swift Nazi narrative and those involved in a separate campaign attacking actress Blake Lively, suggesting a connected network designed to spread misinformation and influence public perception across various celebrity-driven controversies.
