OUR NEWS — Tuesday, November 11th, 2025 | Tonight, a fired police sergeant charged in a US indictment is challenging his dismissal in the Supreme Court after a government lawyer admitted he was fired without a fair hearing. The government is also moving to upgrade the country’s two main public hospitals, signing a $75 million loan deal with CIBC Bank for major repairs in Nassau and Grand Bahama. Meanwhile, University of the Bahamas staff are protesting a two-year delay in their salary review during a visit by international accredititors, and taxi drivers at the Nassau cruise port say the issues that sparked their recent fiery protest—including inadequate washrooms and limited access to jobs—remain unresolved. Plus, we have the latest updates on the Golden Isles bi-election controversy and a first look at a new book, Hello Joy, set to be released this week.
