Tyler and Dani discuss two special reports released in late August this year by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare concerning youth experiencing homelessness. Last week, Priya caught up with Munanjahli and South Sea Islander scholar and author Chelsea Watego to discuss the upcoming launch of 'Black thoughts matter', a selection of some of the most significant essays she has published over the past decade. Out with Common Room Editions later this year, 'Black thoughts matter' provides critical context to Watego's public scholarship, honouring the Black thinkers that have shaped her intellectual and political formation to date. It is a testament to the love, power and joy that is at the heart of Black thinking and writing in the fight against racial violence in so-called ‘Australia’. Jade, a member of ARC UP, joined us to speak about the importance of building migrant worker power in the liberatory struggle against colonialism, racism, class exploitation and fascism on stolen land. ARC UP is an Anarchist Communist organisation seeking to build migrant and Indigenous class power through rebuilding a militant workers' movement, and is based on the lands of the Wurundjeri and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation.
