Self control comes on the tails of adding to our virtue, knowledge. How are we to be self controlled in our knowledge? Well, have you ever known something and you want everyone to know that you have the knowledge? Have you ever wanted to be the smarted person in the room and made sure every one knew just how smart you were? Often we live our lives lording knowledge over others - making it seems as though we are more important (or put others on a pedestal) for the knowledge obtained. We are cautioned here to have self control - know there is a time, place and audience for the knoweldge.
