Most politics is fueled by death anxiety - of a culture, of financial prospects, of unearned privilege, of an certain identity or tribal association.
Of course, it can be terrifying but we experience mini-deaths everyday which oftentimes advance our lives forward. Life must change and grow and it is only a sociopathic mind that chooses homicide and self destruction over evolution.
