Cynthia Levin - Art, Activism, Unicorns & a dog named Zia!
Description
For 40 years, artistic director, Cynthia Levin, has been bringing plays to the stage of The Unicorn Theatre. Plays that engage, enlighten, educate and entertain. Frankly, the story of Cynthia’s real life does all those things, too. From hitting the streets with her mom, in support of JFK, marching and making music in opposition to the Vietnam War, and living the words of her Grandmother, this is a story you’ll want to hear.
In this edition of You Should Talk, it’s the tale of a young woman who had never been west of Philadelphia making her way to Parkville, Missouri, overcoming culture shock and building an amazing reputation for mind-awakening, heart-pounding theatre. If that’s not enough for you, we do talk about nudity. (That’s a gratuitous tease.) Also, a guest appearance by a furry, four-footed friend.
