Alongside the production of Husbands & Sons, an investigation into the labour market in the early 20th century, the opportunities open to both men and women, and how Lawrence’s own experience of work influenced his characters and writing.
With Pamela Cox, Professor of Sociology at the University of Essex, and presenter of the BBC series, Servants and Shopgirls, and Andrew Harrison, Assistant Professor of English Literature and Director of the DH Lawrence Research Centre at the University of Nottingham.
