David Moerschel: J6 Pardons Blocked by Trump Admin Official
Update: 2025-10-24
Description
President Trump pardoned nearly all January 6 defendants on the day of his inauguration in January. But there were 14 he did not pardon. They had been convicted of sedition, so Trump commuted their sentences with the promise to look further into their cases. Most of are still waiting.
David Moerschel, a medical specialist and part of a medical response team at the Capitol on January 6, says that “one guy at DOJ is blocking my pardon!” He blames Todd Blanche, deputy director of the U.S. Department of Justice. David meets with The New American senior editor Rebecca Terrell to discuss the matter and what can be done.
