Dawn Montgomery Coaches for Job Seekers Boot Camp and is a regular contributor to HAPPEN. A graduate of Nottingham Trent University, she has worked in the costume department of the National Ballet of Canada, as ballet teacher, broadcaster, personal chef, teachers aide, auto salesperson, crossing guard, fundraiser, researcher, executive assistant and as recruiter for a major Canadian financial institution. She has been hired, fired and been in some tough situations, like arriving in Canada with a suitcase and little money to find the job and accommodation no longer available. Undaunted, she sourced another opportunity and was soon on the Trans Canada to the small (pop.1,500) logging and mining community of Ear Falls, Ontario. It was winter, the trip took five days, she stayed two years and made some great friends.
