Welcome Bruce! Dawn talks to executive recruiter Bruce Hurwitz, Ph.D, President and CEO of Hurwitz Strategic Staffing, Ltd. HSS was established in August of 2009 with the mission of promoting the hiring of veterans of the US Armed Forces and Merchant Marines, however all candidates, regardless of military experience, are considered for openings and submitted to clients.
Additionally, HSS offers career counseling services to professionals at various stages of their careers. All consultations are personally conducted by Bruce Hurwitz who is a nationally and internationally recognized authority on career development.
Prior to becoming a recruiter, he had some fifteen years experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations and communications. As Director of Development at Bronx-based Aging in America, he created their first Development Department, ultimately tripling annual revenue and garnering unprecedented media coverage for the agency. His marketing efforts at AIA, in conjunction with Time-Warner, were the focus of a feature article in The NonProfit Times. He was the host and producer of AIA's award-winning live half-hour call-in program on Bronxnet Television, Aging Well. He is a past Contributing Writer for the New York Nonprofit Press.
