Death of Language Compilation, Part 1
Description
Welcome Language Learners to a super special topic that I will be tackling on this podcast!
Today I have complied answers to a question that I have been asking every guest that you have already heard and will hear soon about a topic that I am very interested in tackling. And so, the question that I’ve asked is…What does the death of language within families mean to you? And you may think that this is an obvious question, or you’re like what does she mean or what does she want to hear, or maybe you have to think about it for a moment, and really there is no right or wrong answer to this question. Really the question is to get you to think about yourself, your family, someone you know, the language and culture and the immersion of that or maybe the literal death of language. The languages that are dying because it’s not being passed down from generation to generation, not being taught, spoken, not being recognized.
The death of language came from me deciding what I wanted to do with this podcast and having conversations with my mom and thinking about how diverse we are and how like we don’t speak no other language besides English. And so, I have 2 main questions that come from this topic, it’s WHAT HAPPENED? And WHY?
So, for this episode, I have 7 ladies who will provide their answer with thought, emotion, feelings, and relatability
This is the order of speakers and a few points that stuck out for me. Make sure to check out their episode if you haven’t had the chance to hear or want to listen again! Also, check out Erin’s episode we actually delve a bit more into the death of language.
