December 2, 2025: Hegseth Spirals, Trump Calls Somalis “Garbage,” and Corruption Takes Flight
Description
Your morning briefing from Nate McMurray.
We begin, again, with Pete Hegseth, because the story keeps collapsing under its own weight.
First, he denied the allegations.
Then he said, “I wasn’t even there.”
Now he’s spinning in so many directions it looks like panic.
Let’s be unmistakably clear:
If these allegations are proven true, they are not violations of some foreign court — they are violations of our own laws and of the core principles of the United States military.
Targeting shipwrecked, helpless survivors after an operation?
That would betray everything American service members are taught about honor, restraint, and the rules of engagement.
This is serious.
This is not politics.
This cuts to the heart of what kind of country we claim to be.
Then we turn to Trump, who is now insisting the affordability crisis is a “Democratic hoax.”
He’s saying people aren’t struggling, that “everyone is doing great,” while the cost of housing, groceries, medicine, and basic life keeps crushing families.
He’s delusional — or lying to keep voters numb.
And on top of that, he’s calling Somali immigrants “garbage.”
Dehumanizing language from a man who looks like he’s falling apart in real time.
When the cruelty escalates, you know the insecurity is boiling over.
Then we move to Kash Patel, who now openly claims he’s justified in flying around on a private jet to see his girlfriend — literally admitting it like it’s perfectly normal for someone tied to a former administration to use political influence as a personal travel perk.
This is corruption in daylight, not even hiding anymore.
And finally — a bright spot.
Sabrina Carpenter pushed back hard against the Trump team trying to use her music without permission. She said no.
She stood up.
And she’s right.
Taylor Swift should follow her lead.
If Trump is going to campaign on division and grievance, artists should not let him hijack their work to soundtrack the chaos.
This is your morning briefing.
Stay alert. Stay awake. Stay grounded.
