Decisions: Words, Relationships, Sticks & Stones on the Path to Your IDEAL Life II.9
Description
Jessica Pettitt is back for another episode. Can you believe it? As we pick up from the last episode it is clear the putting two professional speakers on the same show, fills up a lot of space. But Jess shares great wisdom. There is no right way to do wrong. Words hurt and often our social media relationships facilitate impatience. Social media allows us to use words without accountability. Hey! No matter what others tell you. It is okay to be weird, its okay to be different, and all of us can show a little more patience with weird dogs and yes, people. This culture can be rough if you are a teen or young adult, but both Jess and I agree that you good enough now and we don’t all need to be the same.
As a reminder, Jess has been stirring up difficult conversations for over a decade, performing as a stand-up comic, speaking on stage as a diversity educator, and moving teams from abstract to action. She is a member of the National Speakers Association and is a Certified Speaking Professional. Fewer than 10% of speakers worldwide hold this credential. When she’s not traveling the country, she is spoiling her pug lab mix, Leo and listening to Johnny Cash cover bands.
Buckle up. This is a wild ride of an episode. Helping us become the change we want to be…please join me in welcoming from Eureka, California, Speaker, Educator, and would be vegan.

About this podcast and finding YOUR IDEAL life
To reach our goals, we have had to learn how to wade through all of our life experiences, all of the bits and pieces of wisdom that we have and figure out the best path for our individual lives. Avoid the pitfalls that lead to teen and young adult depression, anxiety, and general hopelessness about the future. You have extraordinary power in determining how the current circumstances of life will impact your future.
The path to your IDEAL life involves answering five questions:
- Who am I?
- Where do I want to go in life?
- How do I stay relevant in an ever-changing world?
- How can I stay sharp and honed in on my IDEAL path?
- How do I release the baggage of my past and continue to move forward in life?
Using those five questions, I have developed the IDEAL framework for helping people just like you to discover your calling in life. These will help you develop your healthy identity in our cluttered and dynamic world.
- I AM
- I DECIDE
- I EVOLVE
- I ADVANCE
- I LET GO
