Logos Instituut ging in op de uitnodiging van Dr. Benno Zuiddam (Hersteld Hervormd Seminarie) voor de lezing die dr. John Byl kwam geven op de VU Amsterdam in het kader van de 'Traditional Christian Ethics Masters on the Validity of God’s Revelation in Nature.'

De spreker werd als volgt voorgesteld:
John Byl is a scientist with specializations and interests in Galactic Astronomy, Theoretical Physics, Applied Mathematics, Science & Technology, and Christian Worldview. Since 2009 he has been a professor emeritus at Trinity Western University, Langley, British Columbia, where he began in 1978, took over as chair of the department of Mathematical Sciences in 1980 and received his full professorship in 1985.
