Difficult Conversations: With Alyson (Lesbian and Autistic)
Description
Unity in Diversity Foundation is doing a series on "Difficult Conversations" where we invite members from our community to speak with us about their experiences, especially pertaining to race, religion, culture, sexual orientation etc.
We hope these conversations will help viewers gain awareness and education especially if they are hesistant to have these conversations themselves or do not have the opportunity to have these conversations.
Our goal is to know what it's like to walk in the shoes of various people, to have empathy and compassion for all so that we can see we are all different, and unique, yet we are all equal.
Today we had the opportunity to speak with Allyson Frank who identifies as a lesbian and also has Autism. Her experiences help us understand how she juggles the challenges posed these unique identities.
