Dillon’s community forums on town core redevelopment continue Wednesday
Description
To receive public input on redevelopment in Dillon’s town core, or the area within and around La Bonte Street, Buffalo Street and Lake Dillon Drive, the town is hosting a series of community meetings.
Facilitated by the Keystone Policy Center, each meeting has a different topic. The town had a kickoff meeting Sept. 18 and a meeting about the town’s vision and identity Oct. 30.
The next meeting, about urban planning and connectivity, is Wednesday, Nov. 12. A news release from the town stated participants will “explore Dillon’s layout, walkability, and infrastructure to preserve our mountain-town character.”
Each meeting is held at the Lord of the Mountains Lutheran Church’s meeting room from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dillon encourages in-person participation but offers a virtual option.
The remaining meeting schedule includes forums Dec. 4, Jan. 22 and Feb. 12. Those sessions will cover economic development, transparency, trust and prioritization, among other topics.
