Hollywood director Carl Erik Rinsch, known for the Keanu Reeves film 47 Ronin, convicted of defrauding Netflix out of $11 million. Prosecutors say he used the money meant for his science fiction series White Horse on personal luxuries and cryptocurrency speculation. Rinsch faces up to 20 years in prison for wire fraud and money laundering, and up to 10 years for engaging in monetary transactions with criminally derived property. Sentencing set for April 17, 2026.
