Discover Sasquatch #26 Backpacking for Bigfoot
Update: 2025-01-24
Description
Boyd has been an avid outdoorsman since experiencing camping at the age of three.
He retired three years ago after a 42-year career as an aircraft technician.
His passion for Bigfoot research began in 2005 after he attended his first BFRO expedition that same year. In 2009, he became a BFRO New Mexico investigator and has since hosted three expeditions in the state.
He has also participated in numerous official BFRO expeditions and research trips across the country, including in New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas, and Washington.
A notable contribution to the research field includes being part of the team that captured the first thermal video footage of a potential Bigfoot during a 2011 New Mexico BFRO expedition. This footage was
later featured on an episode of Finding Bigfoot in 2012.
Beyond participating in expeditions, Boyd actively supported the Bigfoot research community through:
• Providing financial backing for audio equipment used by Chris Spencer on the Olympic Project and his YouTube channel.
• Contributing financial support for the development of thermal cameras used in the study.
Sasquatch's long-term thermal camera deployments.
Looking ahead, Boyd will co-host a future BFRO expedition this August in the Jicarilla Apache Nation and plans to attend several research trips to the Pacific Northwest this summer and fall. He also remains actively involved in investigating Bigfoot reports throughout New Mexico.
